Darren Dake

 

Darren Dake, D-ABMDI, CI, CCI

 

Darren is a lifelong resident of Crawford County and has been married to his High School Sweetheart for 38 years. Together, they have raised three children and are now enjoying eight grandchildren. 

Darren is a law enforcement professional with over 35 years of experience in criminal and medicolegal death investigations. Darren has worked in both the law enforcement realm of investigations and in the role of senior investigator with the coroner's office for over 24 years. Darren is the elected Coroner for Crawford County since 2021.  This combined investigative experience has uniquely established Darren as an investigation expert, allowing him to consult and teach internationally on investigation practices and procedures.

Darren holds national certification as a medical death investigator through the American Board of Medical Death Investigators (ABMDI) and as a nationally certified criminal investigator and certified criminal investigations instructor. Darren currently sits on the board of directors for the Missouri Investigators Association (MOIA) and serves on three committees for the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME).
